Colterscleuch Cottage was converted from a farm building into a spacious self catering cottage which comfortably sleeps up to six people. There are 2 bedrooms: one has a kingsize bed plus a single bed, the other has three single beds. The living area is big and bright, with patio doors leading to a small private garden. The large dining kitchen has plenty of room to cook and spend time around the table. The family size bathroom has a bath with separate shower. Bed linens, towels and fuel are provided.
Colterscleuch House B&B is a traditional Victorian farmhouse.
We have kept as many of the original features as possible while renovating the building and added some modern touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We aim to offer a more personal service than larger guest houses & hotels.
Children over the age of 5 years are welcome.
We don't accept pets at the B&B

We look forward to welcoming you!
At Colterscleuch we aim to be as environmentally responsible and self sustaining as possible.
Whilst renovating the house, we installed a Biomass - renewable energy - hot water and heating system, 80% more efficient LED lights and insulated every nook and cranny we could find.
We have also upgraded the windows to the most thermally efficient
traditional sash & case windows available.
We have our own fresh water spring and have installed a new, chemical free filtration system.
As we progress, we intend taking advantage of the fantastic light levels in the Teviot Valley with roof mounted solar panels. In the future, we also plan to use the plentiful water supply off the hills via a hydro electric system and look forward to generating our own electricity.
We hope to become truly self sustaining and environmentally responsible.
