Colterscleuch is set amidst a thriving farm community in the Scottish Borders.
The landscape of rolling hills, rivers and valleys is dotted with livestock and at every turn
there are breathtaking views.
Our 4 star B&B offers a personal service while respecting your space and privacy.
If you like to do your own thing, our self catering 3 star Holiday Cottage provides spacious accomodation for couples, families and small groups of friends. At both properties you can relax and recharge, or burn off some energy in the great outdoors and enjoy our Teviot Valley fresh air.
For larger groups and families we can offer both properties together and you can really make Colterscleuch your own.
There is something for everyone in the area. If you like to browse the picturesque small towns and villages, shop for the best knitwear, learn about our history, walk amongst hills and forestry, ride horses, fish for salmon and trout, travel the winding roads by motorbike or cycle, or take your mountain bike off road, the Scottish Borders is the best place to do it all.
Colterscleuch is also ideally placed to travel slightly further afield and visit the English borders of Northumberland and Cumbria as well as neighbouring Scottish regions of Dumfries & Galloway and the Lothians. Edinburgh is only 90 minutes away.

Here at Colterscleuch House & Cottage we aim to be as environmentally responsible and self sustaining as possible. Whilst renovating the house, we installed a Biomass, renewable energy, hot water and heating system, 80% more efficient LED lights and insulated every nook and cranny we could find. We also installed our own filtered fresh water spring. As we progress, we intend taking advantage of the fantastic light levels in the Teviot Valley with roof mounted solar panels and by using the plentiful water supply off the hills via a hydro electric system, we look forward to generating our own electricity.
We hope to become truly self sustaining and environmentally responsible.
