Colterscleuch Cottage was once an old farm building. Now converted into a spacious, two-bedroom cottage with high ceilings, double glazing, wood burner and central heating. It has all the modern comforts for a wonderful holiday at any time of the year.

Set amidst rural farmland in the beautiful Scottish Borders’ Teviot Valley, the location is ideal for exploring all of the Scottish and English Borderlands.
Colterscleuch Cottage is bright and airy. Whilst still maintaining the traditional cottage feel with stone walls and wood burner, it is modern and has a warm and homely feel.
It has two spacious bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second has three single beds.
The large living area has a wood burner and patio doors opening onto a private patio area.
The large modern dining kitchen is a great area to spend time cooking, eating and conversing. It is well equipped and appliances include:
- Electric Hob & Oven
- Fridge/freezer
- Wine cooler
- Microwave
- Dishwasher
- Washing machine
- Ironing facilities
The large family bathroom has a separate deep bath and a corner shower cabinet.
All accommodation is on the ground floor. The bedrooms, bathroom and living area are all on one level. The kitchen has three steps up / down with a hand rail on one side.
Central heating, hot water and double glazing make the cottage comfortable in all seasons.
We will provide the first basket of logs and kindling. Additional logs are easily available and we ask for £10 for each refill.
Fast speed Fibre Wi-fi is free and unlimited.
We have a collection of DVDs, books to enjoy during your stay or you can bring some of your favourites with you.
All bed linen, towels and fuel is included in the cost of your booking.
There is parking for two vehicles and outdoor equipment can be stored under the carport outside the cottage.

Northumberland, Cumbria and the Lake District are an easy drive. The Lothians and Edinburgh are also within striking distance and the new Waverley Line allows you to take a beautiful train journey to the city while avoiding traffic and parking charges.
The cottage can be booked on its own for groups of up to five people, or in conjunction with our holiday house within the same grounds for groups of up to fifteen. Colterscleuch House sleeps ten people over five bedrooms, has generous living areas and a large farmhouse kitchen.

Wi-fi is free and unlimited. As we are rural, our broadband is not superfast and can be much slower than towns and cities, especially at peak times and when multiple devices are connected to the Wi-Fi.
